Invoice Creation

• Use our online invoice creation app. Please collect the following customer information in advance.
  • Customers’ business names
  • Billing addresses & phone numbers
  • Names, phone numbers, & email addresses for the following customer employees:

    • Customer Invoice Approver.
      The person who approves invoices before A/P pays.

    • Accounts Payable person.

    • Timesheets Approver if you are in the staffing business and use our free electronic timesheets app.

• CF Maintains Your Reguarly Billed Items List.
  
  It’s free and CF maintains it in a secure separate Billable Items database. It dramtically speeds up billing if you use our Invoice Creation app. Just pick the billable item from the list. You can even change the unit price and/or description on the fly. You can find it in the Invoicing menu. The required data:

• Code: a short alpha-numeric unique string which is either generated by your accounting system, required by your customers, or you have made it up.

• Unit Price

• Description: keep it short and logical.
  You can also create generic descriptions and customize them by adding text to the end, which is a big time-saver. Here’s an example:
  Generic description:
  Java Computer Programming [Joe Programmer]

  Padded description (padding is blue):
  Java Computer programming [Joe Programmer] for week ending 12/31/2024

Online Invoice Creation

You will create your invoices using a special web page on our Extranet. Please collect the following customer information in advance.

• Company names, billing addresses & phone numbers

• Names, phone numbers, & email addresses for the following customer employees:

  • Customer Invoice Approver: the person who approves invoices before A/P pays

  • Accounts Payable person

  • Timesheets Approver

    Only if you use our free electronic timesheets application.

Line Items Database

We maintain a Billable Items database just for you, free of charge, which is an enhancement to our Online Invoice Creation application. You should use this time-saving free service if you repeatedly bill items having the same or similar descriptions. The result? Very little typing is needed to create an invoice. You can find it in the Invoicing menu. The required fields are:

• Code
